Battery World signs ‘Honey Badger’ Nick Cummins
Battery World has signed ‘Honey Badger’ Nick Cummins as its new ambassador for the 2020/21 holiday season.
Johnny Kennedy, newly appointed Battery World GM, said the adventurous outdoor lifestyle that rugby union player Nick Cummins leads perfectly aligns with the brand’s mission to encourage people to travel and experience life to the fullest.
“Nick’s passion for the outdoors is perfectly fitting to drive the collaboration with Battery World in our biggest categories of automotive and camping,” Kennedy said.
“As someone who thrives in the outdoors and clearly has a passion for what our incredible country has to offer, Nick represents the quintessential Aussie –as a locally owned and operated brand, we knew that Nick’s active lifestyle along with his down-to-earth demeanour, honesty, wit and natural comedy would make him a great fit for us and our audience.”
Cummins [pictured above with franchisee Howden Farrar] will be the face of the brand during a traditionally busy time for Battery World, with Aussies preparing for the long summer holidays from Christmas through to Australia Day.
“I’m amped to be joining Battery World and I’m ready to charge into the new campaign to show you all what the buzz is about,” said Cummins.
The partnership with Battery World will see him promoting Yuasa and Century batteries, which are manufactured by Australia’s oldest and most recognised battery manufacturer, Century Yuasa, Battery World’s parent company.
“During December and January, we see a surge of customers getting ready to embark on adventure, be it a road trip, caravanning or camping, and we often remind them to check their batteries to avoid any power issues during off-the-grid adventures,” said Kennedy.
“We see great synergy, as we ‘Power Your Passion’ and Nick’s passion for nature and exploration. We can’t wait to see this partnership come to life.
