MBE launches digital mail service
MBE has introduced a service allowing customers to use a secure cloud-based platform to view and manage their mail anywhere in the world.
With the new digital mailbox software platform MBE business centres and mail centre franchisees can offer customers a Digital Mailbox in minutes.
The system is operated via a smartphone app.
Clayton Treloar, MBE Australia CEO believes the digital mailbox, created in partnership with a US firm, will be a catalyst for the business.
“This is going to be a game-changer in the virtual address, mail and package solutions area. It will give customers access to their mail without coming into the centre. So that means customers won’t have to drive to their PO Box or wait until they return from a trip.
“Plus, we all want to continue to be cautious in this ongoing pandemic, which makes this new service ‘non-contact’.
“We’re really excited about this launch and believe it’s going to be hugely successful, especially during these uncertain times and the shift to online.”
The mailbox comes as Australian consumers increase online shopping and bulk-buying and there’s a greater demand for mail and parcel delivery services.
MBE has a global network of more than 2500 locations.
How does it work?
The MBE digital mailbox features include real street addresses, mail and package forwarding, open and scan mail (PDFs), mail shredding for security.
The app is free for smartphones and users will receive free notifications and messaging.
Customers can easily view and manage their mail from a mobile device or computer. A real street address will be provided by browsing through a comprehensive list of locations across Australia. Customers will be able to choose from follow-up features such as open and scan, forwarding parcels or shredding unwanted mail, depending on their service plan.
