Craveable’s iconic chicken chain Red Rooster has revealed its latest merchandise range as part of its massive brand transformation.

Customers will be able to purchase items online from Tuesday 23 November, at Reds Shop on the main brand website.

Red Rooster’s director of marketing Ashley Hughes, has said “We are beyond excited to launch Reds Shop – it comes at the perfect time. Every item reflects Reds’ new look and feel and is a stylish accompaniment for our new menu.”

The merchandise collection ranges from the subtle to the the bold.

The Reds Classic range of clothing and home accessories inevitably sports the double Rs and the chicken chan’s signature red. Items include enamel picnicware, hats, slides, sunglasses, skater socks and the already launched Ruggie, a mix up of a onesie and a hoodie.

A more sporty collection inspired by designer leisurewear and sports brands, Reds Sport, includes t-shirts, tracksuits, headwear, towels, board shorts and a cooler box.

All profits from Reds Shop go to the brand’s official charity Foodbank Australia.

The addition of merchandising is a well-trodden route in the fast food sector, with McDonald’s last year introducing swimwear in Austria, made from recycled straws.

There are also partnerships with clothing labels creating limited-time opportunities for customers to wear their customer loyalty.

Earlier this year McDonald’s Australia got into bed with Peter Alexander pyjamas, while overseas McDonald’s collaborated on an Adidas shoe in India, and in the US, Papa John’s stretched its pizza cheesiness in a limited time streetwear collaboration with cheddar cheese.
